Global Conference and Expo an Absolute Must for Water Industry Professionals
Singapore International Water Week 2011 — 4 July — 8 July
As a supporter of innovation in global resource management and renewables, Singapore is pleased to announce the theme of this year’s Singapore International Water Week — “Sustainable Water Solutions for a Changing Urban Environment.” The year’s event will take place at Suntec Singapore from 4 July to 8 July.
The 2010 event saw a record increase in the number of trade attendees to over 14,000 from 112 countries and regions. The total value of projects awarded, tenders, investments into Singapore and R&D bilateral agreements exceeded S$2.8 billion, up by 27% from the previous year’s S$2.2 billion.
The Singapore International Water Week is the global platform for water solutions that brings policymakers, industry leaders, experts and practitioners together to address challenges, showcase technologies, discover opportunities and celebrate achievements in the water world.
The opening Monday will see a morning of technical tours and focus workshops, followed by the Southeast Asia Water Ministers Forum, with a reception and ceremony in the evening. Day two will open with a Water Conversation with the Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, followed by the Water Ministers Plenary. Wednesday and Thursday will present a series of open business forums addressing region-specific concerns. There will also be a series of co-located events which will run alongside these key events. The concurrent 3-day Water Expo will conclude on 7 July.
Singapore Water Festival 2011 is the most comprehensive and fully-realised water industry platform in the world; this year’s event is set to break records for attendance, newly-placed contract value and unquantifiable knowledge-sharing.
