Bangkok--21 Jun--Today Communications IMPACT bolsters up Thai spa and hospitality industries, eyeing for Asia’s spa service hubExpects Chiang Mai to be top player and Thai market to grow by 25% IMPACT Exhibition Management Co Ltd announced it will co-organize the Pool & Spa Exhibition Asia 2011 together with IIR Exhibition Co Ltd from Singapore. The international exposition is hoped to increase Thailand’s competitiveness in spa and hospitality industries and highlight the country’s potential in becoming Asia’s spa service hub. The annual growth for the Thai spa market is also predicted at 20-25%. According to Pornpan Bulner, Assistant Director of Projects of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co Ltd, the hospitality and spa industries in Thailand have been growing constantly thanks to the country’s cultural uniqueness and Thais’ service-minded attitude. Therefore, Thailand’s hope to become Asia’s spa service hub is not beyond Thai entrepreneurs’ capacity. What is necessary are the country’s continual development, cooperation among members of different business associations in order to strengthen their respective industries, and heightening service quality so as to increase customer satisfaction. This is why IMPACT Exhibition Management Co Ltd in partnership with Singapore-based IIR Exhibition Co Ltd will host the Pool & Spa Exhibition Asia 2011. IMPACT believes its expertise in organizing expositions and meetings, as reflected by its record of international clients, will help contribute to the success of this exhibition. “We at IMPACT hope our expertise will help provide channels in which Thai entrepreneurs can directly meet new customer targets and assist them in increasing sales and market shares. The exhibition will be the place for them to exhibit, demonstrate and promote their products and services and new technologies and innovations to decision-makers, maintain relationship with present customers, strengthen their image, and learn about new know-how from other experts in the industry via the conference. We also hope that they can establish a network with prospective customers directly, which is crucial to their business,” said Pornpan. Andrew Jacka, President of the Thai Spa Association, commented on the growth of the spa industry in Thailand and the ASEAN saying spa is not only a popular product among tourists, but it plays an ever more important role in the lifestyle of the general public. This suggests the tendency for the industry’s growth. With quality of international standards and reasonable prices, Thailand is poised to be Asia’s spa service hub, with Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore as competitors of the same potential. “Last year, the Thai spa market was worth 400 million baht and the overall market in Asia was worth 600 million baht. This year, our market should be able to grow by 20-25%, especially for players in northern Thailand. Of course, we are not the only country eyeing on market growth. Our competitors expect to increase their market shares as well. Therefore, collaboration among related industries to strengthen our businesses and increase our potential for mutual benefits is as important as improving the service quality of each industry,” said Mr Jacka. Sangworn Santisuk, president of the Thai Hotels Association's northern region, and executive consultant to Land and House Public Company Limited, commented on the pool and spa businesses in the hospitality and real estate industries saying real estate in Southeast Asian countries is continuously growing. Most condominiums, apartments or buildings all have modern facilities, including pools. In addition, the sanitary standard of water has been increased resulting in the need for maintenance companies for pools to offer better service in water filtering and waste water management. Tourism has also expanded in many countries in the region so there is demand for new pool-related businesses, such as water parks. This rapid growth in the service industry has led to new hotel and resort developments and these properties place great emphasis on pools. “There are many positive factors for the pool and spa businesses in the hospitality and real estate industries, which are expected to grow by 40% this year and to be worth about one billion baht. Entrepreneurs should not overlook opportunities to showcase their products and services. The Pool and Spa Exhibition Asia 2011 will be another effective channel that can connect entrepreneurs with desired customers as well as designers, contractors and maintenance companies for pools, spas, saunas and related facilities. All these components will help with their competitiveness so that they can efficiently compete with rivals in Southeast Asia,” said Sangworn. The Pool & Spa Exhibition Asia 2011 will be organized during September 21-23, 2011, at Building 4 of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The exhibition will showcase products, technologies and latest innovations from the pool and spa industries and feature more than 150 exhibitors. With IMPACT’s expertise, the event will connect entrepreneurs with consumers and offer a networking platform for product importers, local distributors and new manufacturers. Participants will be able to exchange experience and know-how at seminars and present their projects and development strategies. The event will also show the trends in the pool and spa industries in Southeast Asia and, most importantly, suggest ways for government agencies and local and international private companies to exchange ideas and collaborate in order to further develop the pool and spa industries in Southeast Asia. Pool & Spa Exhibition Asia 2011 brings together top manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and related players in the pool and spa industries. There will be over 150 local and international exhibitors from Southeast Asia, including suppliers, distributors, consultants, designers, contractors, maintenance companies and other experts. The event will showcase products, services, technologies and new innovations in pool and spa businesses and offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to create a network with other players in tourism, real estate, hospitality and retail so as to reach customers with high purchasing power.
