Bernd Lippert is a visual artist and creative photographer who now lives in Thailand with his family.
Born in Germany in 1947, at the age of 12 he received his first camera. By 1969 he was awarded “Federal Winner” in photographic still life category. In 1970 he received his Art degree from Cologne School of Art and Design and had his first photo exhibition at the museum Herford, Germany.
With a knack for business, Bernd fashioned a very successful studio employing 15 talented people, forging strong creative relations with many well-known brands off the time, such as Becks Beer, Chanel, Miele, Unilever. His fields of photography include everything from fashion to food, food photography being a focus for the studio and his forte commercially. Bernd also designed cookery books for the world wide market.
His experiences nowadays influence his actual works, which is a mix of painting, experimental photography, pixel and media art. With his own studio, he dedicates himself to visual art through HotelsCuisine, a website including food and fine arts from Vietnam and Thailand top hotels.
“Colors of Nature” is a very inspiring and colourful exhibition depicting the beauty of mother-nature
thanks to macro views taken with his camera then printed in 6-color mode into canvas. “After the terrible
disaster in Japan where large areas of nature were destroyed, I saw the remaining intact nature
with more sensitive eyes. Generally, we enjoy the nature’s beauty as a whole, but when looking into
the details, suddenly a micro part of it becomes an amazing piece of nature art. I hope to convey some
inspiration to people with these images so they can enjoy nature in a new way”, said Bernd.
