Effective Measure research shows that there are significantly more people on MSN than the popular social networking site Facebook
Innovative Digital Audience Measurement Company Effective Measure has announced that MSN Thailand is the top web portal and ranks number four in Thailand’s most visited websites in April 2011-with over 9 million people viewing the website which is notably higher than Facebook.

Russell Conrad, Regional Director of Effective Measure SEA confirmed that MSN Thailand is a top ranking website, “From our extensive research, we found the performance of Microsoft’s portal, MSN Thailand to stand out amongst 1,300 of Thailand’s most viewed websites.”
Based on demographic data found by Effective Measure, over 60% of MSN Thailand’s audience consists of Early Adopters who readily accept innovation and Mavens who are ardent about sharing their knowledge in new technology and gadgets.
According to Synovate PAX Survey, MSN/Windows Live users display more engagement with the online world. MSN/Windows Live users tend to spend 37% more minutes per week on the internet than all other internet users, and 30% more minutes than Yahoo! users. Additionally,
MSN website visitors spend 58% more minutes per week on the internet than all internet users,
and 44% more minutes than Yahoo! Website users. Also noteworthy is the fact that MSN Hotmail /Windows Live Hotmail users spend 36% more minutes per week on the internet than all internet users and 19% more than Yahoo! Mail, and 20% more minutes than Google Mail. Lastly, MSN / WL Messenger users spend 53% more minutes per week on the internet than all internet users and 14% more than Yahoo! Messenger users.

According to another study by Microsoft Advertising, MSN Thailand has a whopping 9.8 million users with 123 million page views (PV) per month, followed by Windows Live Hotmail which has 9.6 million active accounts and 109 million PV per month. Windows Live Messenger is also strong with 10 million active accounts.
