Mr. Markland Blaiklock, Senior Vice President of Sofitel Asia Pacific, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Guy Poujoulat as the new General Manager of the hotel.
Mr. Poujoulat will take overall responsibility for operating the Sofitel Bangkok Silom, including the hotel’s operational planning, Sales & Marketing strategy, promotional synergies and day-to-day hotel operations.
A Swiss native, Mr. Poujoulat began his career with Accor’s luxury Sofitel brand in 1994. During his 17 years of distinguished service with Accor, Guy has worked in eight luxurious Sofitel properties including the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Vietnam, the Sofitel Bangkok Silom, Thailand and the Sofitel Wanda Beijing, China. His experience includes 11 years as General Manager for Sofitel.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Poujoulat was promoted to Area General Manager, and General Manager of the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa, Bahrain, from 2009 to 2011 for the full pre-opening, with his extensive experience with the Sofitel brand. Previously in 2009, he served as General Manager in charge of Special Project at the Sofitel Asia Pacific Corporate Office, Thailand.
Mr. Poujoulat is married with one son.
