AirAsia, the World’s Best Low Cost Airline (Skytrax) is staying true to its motto of “Now Everyone Can Fly” by flying a plane full of hill-tribe children from northern Thailand to experience their first airplane ride and beach trip ever. The airline also flew 20 sharks from the Chiang Mai aquarium to be set free into the ocean, at Panwa cape, Phuket.
Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia officially joined hands with “Surivipa”, a popular Channel 9 TV program, hosted by Surivipa Kultangwattana, Ploi Horwang and Ploy Rattanarat Aurthaveekul. The iconic Thai TV host invited members of her fan club and AirAsia’s Facebook fans to take part in a weekend of activities with hill-tribe children from Thailand’s northern city of Chiang Mai.
The fan clubs and hill tribe children visited Chiang Mai aquarium, before boarding AirAsia’s brand new plane on a special flight from Chiang Mai to Phuket, along with 20 sharks from the aquarium. The group headed to Panwa Cape, Phuket to set the sharks free, and took part in a memorable evening of dinner and dancing.
