From 12-14 August, two of Bangkok’s finest restaurants offer special promotions, as well as a complimentary jasmine tree for all mothers
The Peninsula Bangkok is a fabulous place to celebrate Mother’s Day on 12 August 2011, with two of its popular restaurants offering great promotions in honour of this special day. The hotel has the perfect riverside setting for a wonderful family get-together in celebration of Mother’s Day, which has extra significance in Thailand as it is also the birthday of H.M. Queen Sirikit.
From 12 to 14 August, Mei Jiang Chinese restaurant is offering a delightful six-course Lunch Set Menu priced at THB 1,680* per person and an eight-course Dinner Set Menu at THB 2,280* per person. All diners enjoying the set menus at Mei Jiang will receive a THB 500 spa voucher.
The award-winning Mei Jiang offers the best in authentic Cantonese cuisine served in an inviting setting of classic d้cor. The special lunch and dinner set menus created for Mother’s Day by Executive Chinese Chef Jackie Ho and his expert culinary team will surely delight all the family.
Over the same three days, the River Cafe and Terrace is offering a 50% discount on its dinner buffet at THB 1,800 net (food only) for mothers.
Dining al fresco alongside the enchanting Chao Phraya River at the River Cafe and Terrace is a memorable experience, whether inside in the elegant air-conditioned interior or outdoors on the spacious terrace. The international dinner buffet offers a delicious array of tantalising cuisine, including salads, hot and cold canap้s, a Japanese corner for sushi and sashimi, carving, grill and pasta stations, foie gras, pizza, a Mongolian barbecue section, and Thai and Chinese corners. The impressive dessert selection features such delights as cheesecake, macaroons, cakes, tiramisu, home-made ice-cream and fresh tropical fruit.
All mothers dining in either of these restaurants will also receive a complimentary jasmine tree. The beautiful trees are around 30 cm high and their aromatic white flowers symbolise the pure love all mothers have for their family.
