NEWLY APPOINTED SYLVAIN ANDRE GASTON ROYER, AS EXECUTIVE CHEF OF SOFITEL BANGKOK SILOM

Bangkok--10 Aug--Sofitel Bangkok Silom Mr. Guy Poujoulat, General Manager of Sofitel Bangkok Silom is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sylvain Royer, as the new Executive Chef of the hotel. Mr. Royer will oversee all food and beverage outlets at Sofitel Bangkok Silom. A French native, Sylvain worked in several Michelin star restaurants in France before entering the hospitality industry in 1993, where he will work for 4 and 5-star hotels in France, Luxembourg and Syria. His career within the Accor Group begins in 2000 as Executive Chef at Le Grand Hotel Mercure Alfa, Luxemburg, followed by Sofitel Alger, Algeria, and Sofitel Thalassa Porticcio, Corsica. Prior to his appointment at Sofitel Bangkok Silom, Mr. Royer was the Executive Chef at the Landmark Bangkok, Thailand, supervising the 9 restaurants of the hotel. In 2007, Sylvain was appointed Executive Chef at the 5-star Pullman Bangkok King Power, Thailand, as part of the pre-opening team of the “First Pullman of the Asia Pacific region”. After one year, was promoted to Executive Chef in charge of Food & Beverage as well as acting EAM. His knowledge of the brand also led him to join the rebranding team of the Pullman Pattaya Aisawan, Thailand, as Executive Chef in charge of Food & Beverage. Now, Sylvain joins the Sofitel Bangkok Silom team as Executive Chef where he continues to ensure that guests always enjoy a memorable dining experience.
