Emirates continues as Official Airline of the prestigious tournament
The first day of Thailand Open 2011 has officially kicked off today at Suwon Golf & Country Club, Nakornpathom, with Ryan Haller leading the pack with an impressive 7-under par 65, followed closely by Hu Mu with 6-under 66
While 155 professional golfers are set to intensely contest for the US$1,000,000 prize the next three days, spectators and golfing aficionados are treated with a series of exciting initiatives by Emirates, one of the world’s fastest-growing international airlines. Following the well-received Pro-Am Charity Closest-to-the-Pin held on August 9, Emirates is organising “Spot-the-Cap” competition where a lucky winner, announced on the last day of tournament, stands to receive 105,000 Skywards Miles (equivalent to a return business class ticket to Dubai or two return Business Class tickets to Hong Kong).
Apart from sponsoring major high-profile tournaments around the world, Emirates also extends its support for golf by allowing passengers to check in a set of golf clubs free of charge in addition to their normal checked baggage allowance, in any class of service on all Emirates flights.
