Special buffet corner and cooking class by visiting chef allow guests to taste as well as create one of the world’s most popular cuisines.
When it comes to Southeast Asian cuisine, few will dispute the supremacy of Thai and Vietnamese. While guests of The Square at Novotel Bangkok Fenix Ploenchit enjoy superb local dishes on every buffet, to that enjoyment can now be added the aromatic food of Thailand’s near neighbour.
For one week only, from 11 to 18, September as part of Vietnamese Food Festival at The Square, dinner buffets will feature a special Vietnamese corner. Among dishes prepared by visiting chef, Vo Tung Lam of Novotel Nha Trang, will be Hanoi Prawn Cake, Saut้ed Seafood with Shitake Mushroom, Braised Ox Tail with Green Pepper and Vietnamese Fresh Hand Roll.
Buffet dinner at The Square features not only Vietnamese but also many Asian and Western delicacies and price starts at THB 760++.
Also part of The Square’s Vietnamese Food Festival will be a one-day-only Vietnamese Cooking Class on Saturday, 17 September. Priced at THB 1,000 net, the class allows participants to learn directly from Chef Lam techniques for creating his national cuisine’s delicate tastes and beautiful presentations.
The Vietnamese Cooking Class menu comprises five dishes:
-Vietnamese Fresh Hand Roll: A traditional Vietnamese food with prawn , pork, herb, rice noodle in rice pepper roll and served with spicy peanut satay sauce.
-Seafood Spring Roll: Deep-fried spring roll with crab meat, prawn and vegetable, served with sweet and sour fish sauce.
-Ph? (Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup): Light yet savoury beef stock with fresh rice noodle and raw sliced beef.
-Fish Clay Pot: Tender mackerel flavoured with fish sauce in clay pot.
-Vietnamese Rice Pancake: Thin rice pancake with prawn, squid, bean sprout and served with garden herbs and pineapple fish sauce.
