Every Friday night starting from September 9, 2011, BarSu gets seriously soulful when our cool new band, Rhythm Nation cooks up a wicked brew of hot hits so you can get into the groove. The seven piece outfit of talented musicians will get you on the dance floor with fabulously funky sets that include pop, rock, R&B, and all the latest dance beats.
Rhythm Nation is an extremely tight band with the energy and experience that only comes from performing together for many years. Having created a buzz in Bangkok’s top venues, now they bring their exciting big band sound to BarSu.
Rhythm Nation is led by the dynamic Supaporn ‘Doraemon’ Choochatthai and Phichet ‘King’ Buakum, a male and female vocal duo who compliments each other perfectly. Driving the distinctly danceable sounds behind the soulful singers are Arnon ‘Arm’ Fuangfu on saxophone, Unakorn ‘Nes’ Chotigaprakan on keyboard, and the sensational Rapheepat ‘Mozz’ Wingpravat adding lightening licks on guitar. Putting the rhythm into Rhythm Nation are Kumron ‘Tao’ Sangnaiyana on bass, and one of Thailand’s few female drummers, the beautiful Pakinee ‘Aui’ Paruksa.
In between Rhythm Nation’s sets DJ D’Zier will spin an infectious blend of House, R&B, Soul, Latin and Remix beats to keep you dancing.
And don’t forget every Saturday night, Hot Gossip takes to the stage. With a hit list of over 150 songs including all the new tunes, the band kicks off the weekend in true BarSu style.
