More than 10 new products in the commercial category are being introduced today and they comprise three models of notebook PCs with the Travelmate Series 4, Series 6 and Series 8 models and Five new desktop PCs are being introduced, being the M series, S series, X series, L series and N series that come with an innovation that extends the life of the mainboard by 50 per cent, or lasting for around 100,000 hours, along with the Veriton Control Center, a central repository for accessing items such as power-save settings, migration tools and security utilities. There is also the Acer System Management (ASM), software that helps the IT Department to better manage the system. The All-in-One desktop computers are divided into two series, the Z4 Series with a screen size of 21.5"-23" while models in the Z2 Series have screen sizes of 18"-20". There are also Tablet PCs that come with the Windows operating system that include the new ICONIA TAB W500 and the very latest model, the ICONIA TAB W501 that comes with 3G networking capabilities.
"For service, we have the Acer Care Service Center with service extending to locations throughout the country where we have service centers in the provinces in conjunction with our partners. We provide customers 3-year in-country warranty, 1- year out-of-country warranty, plus 1- year warranty from being stolen and natural disaster. We divide our customers into two groups, being state enterprises and organizations, such as manufacturing, banking and communications, and Acer expects its share of the commercial market in this year to be about 20% per cent for desktop market and 25% for notebook market," according to Boonchai. "As for overall market share in the first quarter of 2011, IDC has said that Acer had a 26% market share for PCs, 22% for commercial notebooks and a 16 percent market share for desktops," he added.
