The Moon Festival, or the Mid-Autumn Festival, is one of the most important traditional events for Chinese people, normally held in the middle of the 8th lunar month. This year it falls in September according to the Thai calendar. Some call this festival the “Zhong-Giu” Festival, as “Zhong” means middle and “Giu” means Autumn, thus “Zhong-Giu” means Mid-Autumn. However it’s known, the Moon Festival is a good occasion for family reunions, enjoying mooncakes together while watching the full moon rise.
