Novotel Bangkok Fenix Ploenchit announces the appointment of Ploirath Essarum as the hotel’s new director of sales.
Thai native Ploirath, joins Novotel Bangkok Fenix Ploenchit from a nearby Accor property in Bangkok, Novotel Bangkok Siam Square. Responsible there for the hotel’s leisure segment, she counts among her accomplishments an increase in the Australian market by 15% during 2008
Ploirath attended Bournemouth University School of Service Management, earning in 2005 an MSc in Tourism Management and Marketing with Merit. Her hospitality industry work while in the UK included marketing duties for the restaurant of a major hotel, and she acquired further experience through sales positions in other industries.
Over the past decade Ploirath has gained additional knowledge and skills by attending numerous trainings, seminars and industry events throughout Southeast Asia and the Middle East. These perspective-widening travels have taken her to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia in addition to Dubai, Kuwait and Brunei.
