Tarabakani or the red king crab is caught in autumn and winter in cold waters of Japan open sea, and in the North Pacific near to Alaska. King Crab is a delicacy prized by Japanese for its succulent and sweet meat and size — some crab species have a leg span about 6 feet and weigh about 8 kilos.
Tarabakani is a ‘must try’ if you have not yet had an opportunity to taste it. Look no further as Chef Satoshi Sawada and his team is offering a special a la carte menu consisting of freshly prepared boiled, fried, grilled and steamed dishes from Baht 750 to Baht 2,150++ at lunch and dinner from Tuesday, October 25 until Monday, November 7, 2011.
Sample of dishes are: King Crab Salad with Soy Shiso Dressing; Deep Fried King Crab White Egg with Sesame Aroma; Gratineed King Crab and Mushrooms with Truffle Creamy Miso in Orange Cup; Steamed King Crab and Seaweed Served with Ginger “Tosazu” Soy Dip and many more.
