Bangkok--19 Oct--Vivaldi TravelRave 2011 is the only regional platform of its kind, involving everyone from the entire travel and tourism value chain, encompassing leadership and awards to travel trade and investment. Serving as the focal point for exciting possibilities for cross-sector collaboration, the festival seeks to leverage trade expertise to identify areas of growth and sustainability, as well as opportunities for industry-wide innovation and initiatives to expand the boundaries of Asia Pacific tourism. The event runs from 17 October to 23 October, and will be held at Suntec Singapore, Marina Bay Sands and other venues around Singapore. After last year’s highly successful d?but, TravelRave 2011 is shaping up to be bigger and better, with stimulating new events in the programme. Reflecting the buzz and increasing dynamism in the Asian tourism industry, TravelRave 2011 will set a wider stage for the exchange of ideas and cultivation of strategic business alliances. TravelRave 2011 includes headline events such as ITB Asia, the largest travel marketplace in Asia, the Asia Travel Leaders Summit, and Web In Travel Conference, the most diverse gathering of professionals in the Asian travel and technology sector. Other co-located business events include Aviation Outlook Asia, Asia Pacific Hotel and Tourism Investment Forum Asia, the Cond? Nast Traveller World Savers Congress, UNWTO High Level Meeting in Asia and the Singapore Experience Awards. Ms. Ashlynn Loo, Area Director, Singapore Tourism Board, Thailand and Myanmar, introduced this groundbreaking event; “TravelRave represents the Singapore Tourism Board’s vision to create Asia’s first mega travel and tourism trade festival for the Asia Pacific region. It is the only comprehensive regional platform of its kind that brings together the entire spectrum of the Asian travel and tourism industry in one week. TravelRave aims to celebrate and recognise Asian tourism at its best, and also be the hub for business and knowledge exchange regarding travel in Asia.” 2011’s event will see visitor numbers in excess of the 8000 attendees of last year’s inaugural festival launch. The travel industry segment across the whole of Asia is set to grow by an estimated 7-9% next year, making this premium festival the single must-visit industry festival for the Asian travel sector.
