Multiple monitors easily connected to a single host PC using a USB cable, increasing efficiency and lowering costs for organizations
LG Electronics (Thailand) joined with Microsoft (Thailand) and Prism Solutions to reveal the LG Network Monitor U Series, the multi computing monitor with Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 embedded, and held a seminar for Prism Solutions’ dealers, to provide them with a better understanding of the groundbreaking new product.
The LG Network Monitor U Series makes use of computers’ unused capacity by enabling up to 20 users to simultaneously share a single computer remotely, simply through a USB network. Offices are able to maximize their investment in computing technology through lowering set up costs by 40 per cent, and reducing power consumption by 70 per cent compared to normal PCs.
“As a result of understanding business customers’ need to increase productivity and reduce power consumption, LG Electronics developed the LG Network Monitor U Series, which creates an efficient networking solution with less hardware and lower maintenance costs,” said Mr. Charles Woo, General Manager of Business Solutions & IT Department, LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. “With USB connectivity support and the Windows MultiPoint Server 2011, we are confident that the LG Network Monitor U Series will be well-received by a wide range of business users nationwide.”
The LG Network Monitor U Series is the built-in multi-computing desktop monitor system equipped with Windows MultiPoint Server 2011, which allows business customers to pool many computers with one host computer, offering stable and reliable operations. The platform is optimized for various computing environments where word processing, video playing, internet, e-mail, and simple applications are used. In addition, administrators can log on to all stations at the same time with auto-logon, use existing Windows Group Policies, and provide on-site or remote assistance when staff need additional help. Importantly, with Windows MultiPoint Server 2011, the LG Network Monitor U Series solution is simple enough for someone with very few technical skills to set-up and manage a multiple monitor environment.
Suthep Tamanuwat, Senior Account Manager for Education Programs, Microsoft (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said “As a leading software and solutions company, our goal is to collaborate with partners and allow people and businesses to realize their full potential through our technology. Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 is a shared resource computing solution that will provide customers with superb compatibility and stability when integrated with the LG Network Monitor U Series. Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 also offers users a familiar Windows experience, and is optimized for various computing environments such as SMBs, libraries, meeting rooms, hospitals, and classrooms.”
