The Management of KS Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of General Manager Mr. Nigel Tovey to lead the first property of award winning boutique brand H?tel de la Paix in Thailand, Hotel de la Paix Cha Am Beach - Hua Hin.
Nigel obtained a Degree in Hospitality Management and started his career as a District Catering Manager for the U.K. N.H.S.
Nigel then moved into the human resources field after identifying a gap in training in the Catering Industry. His outstanding performance has been awarded with a Fellowship to the Hotel Catering and Institutional Management Association in the UK, in recognition of his achievements and contribution to the industry.
During over 30 years of hospitality experience, Nigel has spent at least 20 years in developing the Asian market for the multi-national hotel industry for Sun International, Le M?ridien, Starwood and many well recognized independent hotels.
Before leading the reflagging team of H?tel de la Paix Cha Am Beach — Hua Hin, Nigel was the Director of Operations at Akaryn Hospitality Management which includes two Aleenta resorts. He is also well known to many for his tenure at Koh Samui's Baan Taling Ngam Resort and Le Meridien Khao Lak.
Nigel, also a former president of SKAL Samui and an active committee member of the Thai Hotels Association, currently lives in Bangkok and has a strong knowledge of Thai and Asian Languages and Culture.
