Master Chef Nooror Somany Steppe has created a delightful White Christmas menu for festive diners at both locations. Amidst glittering Christmas decorations and a joyful atmosphere, enjoy Santol Sorbet topped with Mangosteen wine, Turkey Massaman with Chestnuts, Rock Lobster in black pepper sauce, Chili Tilapia and garlic Iceberg Lettuce, topping the dinner off with Jasmine and Chestnut cake accompanied by coconut ice cream and Jasmine tea or Thai Mountain Coffee with mini Thai desserts — all for Baht 2,800++ or Baht 2,400++ per diner in Bangkok and Phuket, respectively. Santarina and Santa Clause will also be on hand to greet and present surprise gifts to all diners.
And for New Year’s Eve, the Blue Elephant turns the clock back to the days of the Kingdom of Siam’s “Golden Age”, when the first visitors from foreign countries landed on our shores and began to influence our culture and cuisine. Before welcoming in 2012 in Bangkok, relish in favourite dishes of the courts of King Rama II and King Rama V such as Chor Muang, Lobster Loom, Ma Auan, Nua Tom Kra-Ti, Mumbai Lamb Curry and Tiger Prawns Naam Plaa Waan accompanied by steamed wild rice with lotus and black sesame seeds wrapped in lotus leaves.
A trio band will provide music to get you dancing the night away, and a traditional “Pong Lang” will be played to usher in the New Year. Come dressed up and enter “The Old Siam” costume contest for a chance to win 2 return tickets Bangkok-Phuket plus 2 nights’ accommodation at Sri Panwa resort valued over Baht 100,000.
