Conrad Bangkok announced the appointment of Sally Chaiyakan as the hotel’s Director of Marketing Communications.
Born and raised in the United States, Ms. Chaiyakan will be responsible for all marketing and public relations of the hotel. Ms. Chaiyakan returned to Thailand in 2003 from Maryland, USA where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Masters of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland, College Park. Sally was awarded “Outstanding Achievement Award” as the university’s news producer for Terp TV News.
She has worked at various establishments such as MHI Communications, Washington DC as Director of Marketing and Communications along with local TV networks as a news reporter and on-air anchor. Upon returning to Thailand, she worked with MCOT’s APEC Channel News as a news anchor and reporter during the APEC convention in 2003 where she was also Executive Director and news reporter for the English Channel “Newsline” Channel 11. She is also recognized for her work with One Tambon One Product (OTOP) as product narrator and has worked with FM 107 Radio for various projects and advertisements.
During her tenure in the media industry, she decided to enhance her career and to pursue her passion for public relations and marketing. She has worked with numerous lucrative companies in the healthcare, international school, and gold mining industries. Sally has extensive knowledge and expertise in hospitality training where she was Director of Marketing and Communications and Special Trainer for Salina Hotel Consultant Company Limited where she had the opportunity to work closely with several 5-star hotels in Thailand.
