TEDDY BEAR AFTERNOON TEA

The Peninsula Bangkok proudly invites guests to bring their teddy bears to the hotel for a “Teddy Bear Afternoon Tea” in The Lobby, where bears and guests alike can soak up the wonderful seasonal atmosphere around the hotel’s Christmas tree. Diners can enjoy panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River while sampling festive sweets, savoury pastries and chocolates from the special Teddy Bear Afternoon Tea set. For every set purchased, a donation will be made to UNICEF Thailand. The teas will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, dress is smart casual (for bears and humans) and prices are THB 1,200 for adults, THB 600 for children, while bears eat for free.

On Christmas Eve The Peninsula Bangkok will abound with yuletide spirit and seasonal traditions, with an assortment of tempting menus created by Mike Peter Wehrle, the hotel’s Executive Chef. These menus have been designed to delight guests as they enjoy a wonderful holiday with family and loved ones. At The Peninsula Lawn and The River Cafe and Terrace a gala dinner buffet, with live music from a 12-piece orchestra and contemporary Thai performances, will be served from 7:00 pm onwards. At Thiptara, there will be a gala dinner buffet in a traditional Thai setting, with contemporary Thai dances. The Lobby Terrace will offer a six-course Western set menu, accompanied by live performances from a 12-piece orchestra. The dress code is elegant casual throughout and there will be a special appearance by Santa Claus at all four venues. Dining is priced at THB 4,900 for adults at all three venues and THB 2,450 for children at The Peninsula Lawn and The River Cafe and Terrace and at Thiptara.

Mei Jiang will delight guests with a six-course New Year’s Eve Chinese feast priced at THB 8,800 per person. The dress code at all five venues is elegant casual and all diners will be treated to a spectacular firework display over the Chao Phraya as the clock counts down to midnight and the New Year.
