HP teams up with MAT to tap into education market

Bangkok--21 Dec--Hill and Knowlton Inviting aspiring university students to join marketing plan competition to battle refill ink market Under “Reject Refill, Adopt Authentic Ink” topic, featuring superior values of HP printer equipped with authentic ink HP continues to tap into education market with its latest move under collaboration with Marketing Association of Thailand (MAT) to organize marketing plan 2012 under the topic “Reject Refill, Adopt Authentic Ink”, aiming at underscoring superior values of authentic inks among target group. The winning team will receive a coveted trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, as well as scholarship and prizes from HP worth more than 500,000 baht. Mr. Kliz Kittitat, Director of Consumer Business, Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard (Thailand) Ltd. revealed that “Following an impressive response from the launch of HP Deskjet Ink Advantage printers to penetrate refill ink by featuring maximum value of printing solutions that come with HP authentic ink for superior value than refill ink to consumers, HP continues to build understanding and broaden horizon of customers in education segment, who require high printing volume with authentic ink. Under collaboration with the Marketing Association of Thailand (MAT), HP is organizing a marketing plan competition entitled “Reject Refill, Adopt Authentic ink”, offering a trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, as well as scholarship and awards from HP worth more than 500,000 baht to the winners. The competition is opening for university students to submit their entries with objective to cultivate preferred values to use authentic ink that offers superior values than refill ink”. This marks the 21st-year of the annual MAT’s marketing plan competition or ‘J-MAT Award’. The competition comes with primary objectives to provide a platform for 3rd and 4th year university students to apply their academic knowledge skills to actual marking plans. Qualifications of applicants are as follow: 1. Being students studying a bachelor’s degree level in third or fourth year nationwide, regardless of fields and faculties; and 2. Team members must come from the same institute. Each team may consist of 3-10 members, and must be endorsed by lecturers of the institute.
