Qualcomm announced at the mHealth Summit the formation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Qualcomm Life Inc., which will operate the business formerly known as Qualcomm Wireless Health and launched the cloud-based 2net Platform and Hub, designed to overcome the challenges that medical device companies experience with wireless implementations.
With more than 40 partners already integrating or planning to integrate on the 2net Platform, Qualcomm Life is leveraging more than eight years of market research in this space and creating an ecosystem of medical devices, mobile medical apps and health services companies. Additionally at mHealth, Qualcomm announced the establishment of a $100 million Qualcomm Life Fund, an investment allocation established by Qualcomm Incorporated and to be managed by Qualcomm Ventures with the mission to accelerate wireless health services and technology adoption.
