Japanese investors show confidence in Thailand bysigning 5,000 million baht worth of investments in304 Industrial Park at BOI Fair 2011

Bangkok--11 Jan--304 Industrial Park The BOI Fair 2011 has revived investor’s confidence in Thailand after 8 leading Japanese companies signed land purchase contracts and investments worth over 5,000 million baht with the 304 Industrial Park at Double A Pavilion, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. Mr Watcharain Nisagornsen, Chairman of the Board of the 304 industrial Park Co Ltd, said “The 304 Industrial Park has joined the BOI Fair 2011 along with Double A (1991) Plc, one of the leading companies in the country that has setup its business in 304 Industrial Park, to build investment confidence in Thailand among local and foreign investors alike. At the fair, a number of Japanese investors have seen Thailand’s potential and have decided to locate their factories at the 304 Industrial Park. The land purchase signing ceremony valued at more than 5,000 million baht of investment involving 8 Japanese companies was held onsite today at the Double A Pavilion. The investment is expected to generate employment for over 10,000 employees. “Although Thailand had face flooding disasters last yearwhich affected a number of industrial operations and damaged some business establishments, many companies have continued to expand their businesses in the country typified by the investment of 8 Japanese companies in 304 Industrial Park. The investment covers metal products, photo copying machines and automotive parts. With the privileges and support granted by the government through the Board of Investment (BOI), it is forecasted that more companies, including foreign investors, will locate tothe 304 Industrial Park. This is especially true given its geographical location advantage, which has helped 304 Industrial Park to stay safe during the rainy season, and the fact that it is located some 20 metres above sea level.” Dr. Atchaka Sibunruang, Secretary General of the Board of Investment (BOI),who witnessed the land purchase signing ceremony between 304 Industrial Park and Japanese companies, said that the contract signing ceremony would encourage and build the confidence among international investors to invest more in Thailand. “This will also help rebuild the good image for Thailand as well as revive the confidence of both Thai and international investors after the flooding situation last year that had caused damages to several industrial estates. Moreover, this will further help strengthen Thailand to be ready and serve asa hub of international investments, especially from Japan,” Dr. Atchaka said. Editor’s notes 304 Industrial Park is the industrial park developer located in Prachinburi province.It covers an area spanning more than 17,000 rais plot of land. It is only 110 kilometres from Suvarnabhumi Airport and 130 kilometres from Laem Chabang Seaport. The project is situated 20 metres above sea level. It features a big reservoir with strong earth structure to accommodate huge amount of water.
