TrueMove H, Thailand’s leading and most complete mobile service provider, offering both WiFi and 3G technologies, today announced a collaboration with the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) and Cisco towards the first public trial of Next Generation Hotspot (Hotspot 2.0) in Asia. Initiated by the WBA, the innovative Next Generation Hotspot (Hotspot 2.0) technology allows seamless connectivity between WiFi and 3G via the SIM card. Users in Thailand can experience the public trial of Next Generation Hotspot (Hotspot 2.0) exclusively at True Shop Central Rama 9 branch and True Shop Central Ladprao branch from now until February 29, 2012.
Mr. Supoj Mahapan, Director, International Services Business, True Corporation Plc., said “Next Generation Hotspot (Hotspot 2.0) is a collaboration among members of the WBA, leading mobile network operators, network solution companies and device manufacturers. This industry initiative is currently being tested in Thailand, the Philippines and Hong Kong and these lab test results will be presented at the GSMA World Congress by the end of February 2012 at Barcelona, Spain.
