The Thai Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Industries Association (TETA) and Planet Communications Asia Company Limited, a member of the Thai Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Industries Association (TETA), with business alliances intend to give an array of radio communication devices and other telecommunications equipment to the National Disaster Warning Center, under the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The collective contribution will provide the center with the necessary arsenal to utilize and tackle communication crises during the events of a natural disaster in any part or region throughout Thailand.
Mr. Visnu Limwibul, Vice Chairman of the Thai Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Industries Association (TETA) discloses that the endorsement has come about as the direct result of a joint commitment between various agencies, namely Planet Communications Asia Co., Ltd. as well as their business alliances with CODAN, CISCO, Cambium Networks and Panasonic. This joint provision of radio communication devices and other telecommunications equipment will include kits for virtual conferencing and high-speed wireless networking — a total value of 10 million Thai Baht — and is dedicated to the National Disaster Warning Center, under the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, to assist in delivering effective interoperable communications for the country’s emergency and disaster management.
- CODAN Radio Communications will provide 10 sets of their 2110 HF Manpack Transceiver e/w Crosspatch - value of 6,000,000 Baht
- Cambium will provide one complete kit of a high-speed PTP-600 wireless network system 3 sets - value of 2,200,000 Baht
- CISCO will provide one complete kit of Telepresence Quick Set C20, VCS Starter Pack and Precision HD virtual Video conferencing system and SF200 POE Smart Switches — value of 1,000,000 Baht
- Panasonic will provide ToughBook laptop computers - value of 200,000 Baht
- Planet Communications Asia Co., Ltd. will take on the responsibility of this system integration and provide training to operate the equipment.
