Allied Telesis has launched an offensive in Thailand's network market, upgrading its representative office to be a company limited, together with establishing the first network technology centre in Asean in Thailand, with the target to grow at least 30 percent.

Founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Japan, Allied Telesis’ global market share is one in the world's top five marker leaders in network market, earning more than US$600 million in global revenue last year. It also has research and development centres throughout the world - in Japan, the United States, New Zealand, Italy, Singapore and China.”
"In Asia, Allied Telesis achieved five percent of global market share last year. As a result, the headquarters and the management are planning to achieve greater share in Asian countries, including Thailand through upgrading of a representative office to be a full-scale company limited, together with the inauguration of a new head office and the establishment of the first network technology centre in Asean in Thailand, at its value of more than Bt10 million," Oya said.
Teerayut Hongkananukraw, Thailand Country Manager of Allied Telesis (Thailand) Company Limited, said Thailand is the first country where a representative office has been upgraded to be a company limited, which will make the operations more flexible, especially in customer service and technology transfer to business partners and customers, who can experience visiting actual operations of network solution at the centre while closely receiving trainings provided.
Allied Telesis' marketing policy this year focus on five target groups including 1. Healthcare 2. Japanese companies 3. Government agencies 4. Service providers and 5. Hospitality. A special focus will be on the first two groups, as the Japanese headquarters has foreseen extensive expansion of Japanese-owned businesses in Thailand to ensure the same standard of service provided in Japan, while healthcare has been very successful in Japan last year, prompting a determination to implement the same solutions to develop and expand Allied Telesis' businesses in Thailand.
There are also further developments to Core Switch, Access Switch and Wireless products to boost their efficiencies through designs which recognize importance of Business Application deployed by customers' systems, such as Network Resiliency, which enables constant connection and data access, although there are interruption or denial of service in customers' networking systems, with Allied Telesis' equipment still functioning normally.
“Allied Telesis last year earned 80 percent of total revenue from corporate clients and other 20 percent from retail businesses, with total sale volume increasing by 40 percent and achieving a third largest market share in Switch. Allied Telesis aims to achieve at least 30 percent of sale volume this year, based on an estimate that the market growth in network in Thailand will be around 10 percent, worth around US$110 million, or Bt3.3 billion,” added Teerayut "With our personnel's qualification and readiness along with their expertise in networking technology, coupled with availability of products in all areas and levels of usage, from standard equipment to high-end devices at prices most worthwhile for investments in addition to their quality, Allied Telesis is confident that these factors will certainly attribute to an increase in our market share and revenue this year.”
