Dusit International’s hotels in Chiang Mai alongside partners working in the city’s famous night bazaar organized a successful Earth Hour 2012 activity on 31 March 2012.
The dusitD2 and Royal Princess Chiang Mai hotels marked their commitment to the environment by switching off their lights from 20.00hrs — 21.00hrs, together with Earth Hour participants in 135 countries.
In support of the positive action movement, staff from both hotels, as well as The plaza, O.P place, Pantip Plaza, Pavillion Night Bazaar, Anusarn Market, Kalare Night Bazaar, Suriwong hotel, and Royal Lanna hotel, hands to create bookmarks as part of the “dare the world to save the planet” campaign.
Recycled candles showing Earth Hour’s ‘60+’ logo were displayed at dusitD2’s d-square. Guests were invited to light the candles and also received a cloth bag containing energy saving tips as an environmentally friendly gift.
