“PPC Shore Crane Project” was finished before the plan. Have been completely installed, the cranes achieve 125 tonnes weight lifting test and serve business expansion accordingly with the operation of SSI Teesside plant, UK.
Mr. Chaipat Khemaphiruk, Managing Director of Prachuap Port Co. Ltd., or PPC, an affiliate of SSI Group Companies, revealed the progress of “PPC Shore Crane Project” that “After the crane components from the plant in Dusseldorf, Germany, had been delivered to Prachuap Port, Bangsaphan, Prachaup Khirikhan on 16 March 2012, the installation was speedily implemented by the contractors of Gottwald Port Technology. All components had been successfully installed and the cranes were already handed over to PPC on 18 April prior to the installation schedule planned to finish at the end of April. Now, they are ready for handling steel slab shipment from SSI UK which will arrive Thailand soon.”
Mr. Chaipat added that “According to the load testing, these two cranes achieved the Dynamics Test lifting at 125 tonnes weight and minimum 11 metres length, proving the highest capacity for huge material transport, and conforming to services expansion strategy to support related businesses including slab from SSI UK shipped by large vessels without deck crane.”
“PPC Shore Crane Project” is the investment project to enhance the company capability to handle goods and materials with lower operational costs and maximum operability, and to serve larger vessels services.
