The IBM Faculty Award is a monetary award to university faculty members to foster collaboration between researchers at leading universities and those in IBM research, development and services organizations. The awards are selected based on the global competitiveness and intended openness of the project. In addition, the program aims at promoting open courseware and curriculum innovation to stimulate growth in disciplinesand geographies that are strategic to IBM.
