Mr. Mike English, CEO and Superbrands Group Director, UK and Mr. Preecha Kaenprom, Director, Superbrands Thailand in cooperation with CentralWorld organised Superbrands Tribute Event, Trophy Presentation to Superbrands 2011 at CentralWorld on 25th April 2012. The “Brand of The Year 2011”, the highest voted score, was presented to CentralWorld, by having Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Executive Vice President of Central Pattana Plc, received the trophy presented by Mr. Mike English and to all top managements of 31 Superbrands namely 12 Plus, AIS, Aldo, CentralWorld, CP-Meiji, DHL, Double A, Giffarine, Hotmail, Jones Lang LaSalle, King Power, Krungsri Auto, Lay’s, LG, Major Cineplex, Mistine, Muang Thai Life Assurance, Nivea, Nokia, ptt Group, S.B. Furniture, Samsung, SCB, SCG, Singha, Sizzler, THAI, Thai Ticket Major, Watsons, Windows Live Messenger and Yamaha.
The brands were selected through the survey and research based with 5,000 consumers, 3,000 Marketing Directors/Managers/Officers and PR agencies who created a potential brand lists. More than 1,200 brands were surveyed and researched and there were only 600 brands with 35 categories were voted as a potential brand lists before presented to independent and voluntary panels of experts, known as the ‘Brand Council Members’ for a final judge. All three criteria are always requested to be included while the brands were voted — Brand Quality, Brand Affinity and Brands Personality.
