Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom adds lush greenery to cityscape for “Hug a Tree”
For three days in April, Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom invited guests to donate 100 Baht each for the planting of new trees in Bangkok. This special activity was organised under the auspices of Accor Hotel Group’s “Hug a Tree” initiative, in which every hotel in the group’s Thailand portfolio was asked to support the sustainable development programme, “PLANET 21.”
Guests of Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom readily contributed to a ‘plant and tree’ sale whereby guests could purchase Flame Flowers, Golden Dewdrops, False Heather, Joyweed and Thai flowers, to be planted under their own patronage in the Silom district.
General Manager Robert Atlee joined with staff to officially thank them for supporting the collection. Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom is proud to be able to take part in initiatives which brighten, oxygenate and add greenery to our beautiful Bangkok, and is thankful to be considered as a member of the community known for giving something back wherever possible.
