Cerebos (Thailand) grants the twelfth year of “Cerebos Award”to encourage technical capability of Thai researchers
Cerebos (Thailand) Ltd., grants the twelfth year of “Cerebos Award”, which is provides over 500,000 bath of scholarships each year to support and encourage all Thai researchers in nutrition, pharmacology, and other health related field, to support Thai quality researches. Thai researchers can submit their researches to compete for Cerebos Award research scholarships, without any Cerebos commitment.
Mr.Tul Wongsuphasawat, General Manager of Cerebos (Thailand) Ltd, as the scholarship sponsor, said that “The Cerebos Award is another social campaign of the company as we realize that Thailand has a lot of valuable and remarkable human resources like other countries but retains lack of support. A crucial disadvantage that Thai researchers have is about limited budget due to money is a major factor for conducting a research. Thus, supporting all these people to attain their research could give a great benefit for development of the nation in future. During 11 years of implementing the project, there are totally 34 Thai researches which received Cerebos Award scholarships and we appreciate to keep supporting Cerebos Award Research scholarship project. Moreover, 16 studies were published in some international and Thai leading journals.
Prof. Dr. Jomjak Jantarasakul, the president of board of committee of Cerebos Award 2012 scholarship, revealed "the research scholarship is to support and encourage technical capability and offers Thai scholars an opportunity to submit their research to compete for research scholarship in Nutrition, Pharmacology, and other related field such as doctor, pharmacy, nutritionist, nurse, scientist, and other scholars on dietary, herbs and medicine, consumers behavior related to nutrient therapy and health supplement that can generate new know-how to apply beneficially to consumers. This award is to enhance capability in professional competition of Thai scholars against other countries with a consistently great support from Cerebos (Thailand) Ltd. since 2001.
Application is from now on until June 30, 2012. Candidates for Cerebos Award must submit only one project a year and their name should not be exist in other projects submitted to Cerebos Award in the same year. The scholarship in total is 500,000 Baht a year without any commitment to the winners to process their own research.
