Photo Release: FedEx Employees Help Plant Native Trees in PhraPadaeng

Bangkok--24 May--Grayling More than 100 employees of FedEx Express(FedEx) recently joined with members of the local community and the Plant a Tree Today Foundation to plant 1,000 native tree seedlings at Pa Ked Temple in PhraPadaeng. The trees were donated by FedEx, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, as part of its programme to support the building of environmentally sustainable communities in Thailand. Commenting on the tree planting, David Carden, managing director, FedEx Express Thailand and Indochina said FedEx was committed to assisting communities seeking to regenerate previously depleted areas of vegetation. “There is a significant amount of science now which tells us how important trees are to the local environment of a community,” said MrCarden.“Our employees, as well as the company, are delighted to have the opportunity to assist the community in Pa Ked by planting native trees, which will help recover and conserve the local biodiversity while enhancing the environment for all to enjoy.” As part of the overall tree planting program, FedEx volunteers also received training in conservation and tree planting techniques.
