Bangkok--30 May--Kasemkij Hotels Kasemkij Hotels, the owner and operator of the Cape, Kantary and Kameo Hotel Collections, recently took over 300 children from the SOS Children’s Villages Thailand on a field trip that included visits to museums and temples plus snorkelling. April 18- 28, 2012: This year, Kasemkij Hotels’ annual charity activity for the SOS Children’s Villages comprised of five separate field trips to Phuket and Rayong for over 300 disadvantaged children from the Villages in Songkhla and Nongkhai. The objective of the trips, which included an overnight stay at Cape Panwa Hotel, Phuket and Kantary Bay Hotel, Rayong, was to broaden the youngsters’ worlds and to allow them to relax and have fun at the same time. Travel Industry Group Director Phoomiphat Navanukroh commented, “Cape Panwa Phuket and all other Kasemkij Hotels well recognize the need for businesses to give back to society. In fact, Khun Tirapongse Pangsrivongse, our Executive Director of Kasemkij Company, made it a policy a long time ago to support charities and the SOS Children’s Villages Thailand is one of them “We have been supporting SOS for many years now by providing furniture and office equipment for their five SOS Children’s Villages in Thailand (Samutprakarn, Hatyai, Nongkhai, Chiang Rai and Phuket) that care for a total of 650 children. In 2009 Kasemkij Hotels also began organizing trips for the kids — the first one was to Koh Tapao Noi in Phuket for the SOS Phuket Village. Last year we took the kids from SOS Samut Prakarn to Rayong and SOS Chiang Rai to Chonburi. This year’s activity is for the children from Had Yai and Nongkhai. We brought them to Phuket and Rayong to enable them to see a different part of the country — have a new experience like the seaside. To learn more about all the different things this world is made up of, by playing at the beach, visiting the aquarium and temples. Moreover, they thoroughly enjoyed the special party we threw for them at the hotels where they stayed overnight. In fact, it was seeing the joy that each trip brought to the children that made Kasemkij Hotels decide to turn this into an annual activity. Police Major General Norawat Charoen-Rajapark, President of SOS Children’s Villages Thailand remarked, “On behalf of the SOS Children's Villages in Songkhla and Nongkhai, we would like to thank Kasemkij Hotels for the trouble they took to organize this fun and educational event to allow the children to gain experience outside the classroom. These things will help them to grow into good adults and contribute to society. Your kindness will be with us and be in our minds forever. I have to thank again for your help in bringing happiness to the children at SOS.”
