Anhui HeLi, the leading Chinese forklift producer, expressed confidence in the Thai industrial sector, announcing its policy to make Thailand its Asean base as part of its efforts to expand business to cater to the rising demand for forklifts in the market. The supplier of Heli-brand forklifts signed an MOU appointing Siam Sun Autosales as its authorised dealer in Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, in addition to Thailand. Affirming full commitment in the product, The Thai firm launched the Chinese partner’s ‘G-series’ forklifts, which feature Japanese- and European-standard production technology, safety and low engine-causing pollution, added by excellent after-sale service, and are targeted at businesses in the industrial estates. The Company expects to provide 400 units of the products, on a freehold or leasehold basis, this year.
Mr Zhang Dejin, Board chairman of Anhui HeLi Co., Ltd., the leading Chinese industrial vehicle producer, revealed the plan of his company, China’s No 1, and world’s No 8, in terms of capacity to produce industrial vehicles, to gear up its marketing efforts in the Asean countries, and expressed its strong belief in Thailand’s potential, considering the country’s overall strength and robust growth in the industrial sector.
For already four years, the Chinese firm has marketed its Heli forklifts in Thailand through Siam Sun Autosales, its local dealer, which specialises in marketing of industrial vehicles and is equipped with a great service team. After recording a selling success there, Anhui HeLi decided to forge a closer tie by signing with the Thai partner an MoU authorising the latter to import and market Heli forklifts also in Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, to capitalise on the industrial growth in those countries.
“We believe in Siam Sun’s expertise and its capability to tap the growing demand for industrial vehicles both in Thailand and in its neighbouring countries. We trust that this signing will lead to a resounding marketing success for Heli forklifts in the Asean market,” said Mr Zhang.
Mr Akradech Wongpituchroj, Managing Director of Siam Sun Autosales Co., Ltd., Thailand’s exclusive dealer of Heli forklifts, added that the MoU signing, which designates his company as the dealer in the four countries, reflects the Chinese giant’s recognition of and confidence in his company’s marketing prowess.
Having established local partnerships in each respective neighbouring country, the Thai firm focuses its marketing activities on the foreign and Thai investors who have built a plant in an industrial estate in those countries and are looking for ways to replace human labour with machines. It believes that the regional ambition will be achieved.
Siam Sun will continue its marketing efforts in Thailand, and it has recently imported the ‘G-series’ Heli forklifts, which feature Japanese- and European-standard production technology, eco-friendly innovations and engines with a low CO2 emission rate, as well as high levels of operating safety and ergonomics and suitability for use in industrial plants and hardware stores.
The Company sees great growth potential in the Thai market, thanks to the local industrialists’ increasing demand for handling machines to replace labour to save production costsin the long term, following the government’s decision to increase minimum wage rates.
“We are ready to promote strong growth for Heli forklifts using our highly capable and experienced team as well as our excellent service centre, which keeps available to customers spare parts and accessories and used forklifts for sale or for lease. We expect to provide 400 Heli forklifts, on a freehold or leasehold basis, this year,” said Mr Akradech.
