Lucky Fan from Cyprus Presents the Carlsberg Man of the Match Award to Mesut Ozil at UEFA EURO 2012? Finals
Today Paris Gavrielides from Cyprus fulfilled a lifelong dream to travel to the European Football Championships and got an insight behind the scenes, as he presented German star, Mesut Ozil, with his Carlsberg Man of the Match Award at the UEFA EURO 2012? Germany v Greece match in Gdansk, Poland. (Match 26 Germany v Greece on 22 June 2012)
A delighted Paris after the presentation said, “I am very excited to be here and feel honoured to have this opportunity — Carlsberg made my dream come true! It was fantastic to see Greece play in the quarter final match and it was pure luck that I was chosen as the presenter for this game. I am very happy that Greece made it to the quarter finals and despite the result they still made us all proud today!”
Carlsberg, now in its seventh consecutive European Championships tournament sponsorship, has been recognising the courage and passion in those fans willing to show the world what they would do to be at UEFA EURO 2012?, by helping them get closer to the action. Mesut ?zil of Germany was delighted to have been chosen as the Carlsberg Man of the Match by fans and UEFA Legend Christian Karembeu, for the second time of the tournament. Mesut Ozil said, “My first game was not that great but today I think I played very well, the team supported me so I could show my potential. I did that very well although it was not just me but the whole team that did that.”
