An exclusive guest list of Thai VIPs and distinguished international personalities gathered recently at the exclusive InterContinental Hua Hin Resort for a celebrity chef dinner function which raised over THB1 million for H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Foundation.
With cool winds blowing off the Gulf of Thailand, a select group of high profile personalities arrived via the private entrance to the elegant and luxurious 1920s period-styled beachfront building La Residence to be greeted by the resort owner H.E. Suwat Liptapanlop and daughter Proudputh Liptapanlop.
Among the first to arrive at the glamourous function were the Danish Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Mikael Hemniti Winther, Anakkawat Kowathanakul, Chatchavarn Jiaravanon, and Wanna - Boonyapa Bencharongkul.
Guests were wowed by the food personally served by multi award-winning Danish celebrity chef Rasmus Kofoed - who most recently won the prestigious "Bocuse d'Or" in Lyon, France, a competition widely regarded as the World Championships for chefs.
The Scandinavian-influenced menu showcased Norwegian lobster and soup based on Danish hay cheese. Diners then delighted in Halibut with asparagus and lemon balm, followed by veal with juniper and red beets, before a sumptuous dessert of liquorice and red berries.
Entertainment was provided by the supremely talented Krungthep Light Orchestra, which provided the perfect musical backdrop to a glittering evening of style and sophistication.
