Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa, Chiang Mai, joins hand with a group of top Lanna artists organize “From Lanna to Bodh Gaya”, a charity art auction to raise fund for the construction of Metta Buddharam Monastery in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India. The charity auction event will be held on Sunday 2nd September 2012 starting from 10.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs at the resort’s Huen Silp Slah.
Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa, Chiang Mai, in collaboration with top Lanna artists lead by Mr. Pornchai Jaima, the winner of Silapathorn Award 2005, organize a charity art auction where pieces of artwork created by more than 100 Lanna artists will be exhibited and auctioned off. All proceedings will be contributed to support the construction of Metta Buddharam Monastery in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India, a respective place for all Buddhists who make a religious travel to a city of Buddha’s enlightenment. The famous Lanna artists who contribute the artworks for this charity auction includes Mr. Prasong Luemuang, Mr. Arnan Ratchawang-inn, Mr. Saksit Dechsaokeaw, Mr. Auxchanok Chirakul, Mr. Sakon Sutthimarn, Mr. Suratin Tatana and Mr. Pichit Paidan.
“We sincerely hold this charity art auction event to raise funds for the construction site of Metta Buddharam Monastery as part of our humble offerings to the Lord Buddha while simultaneously presenting the gorgeousness of Lanna art and culture to the world” said Mr. Pornchai Jaima.
Mr. Supamit Kitjapipat, the owner and Managing Director of Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa, Chiang Mai, stated that, “We are genuinely grateful and proud to be part of this eventful auction. We are more than happy to sponsor and organize the function completely free of charge. This is the 2nd consecutive year that Siripanna and a group of top Lanna artists join hands holding a charity auction with the aim to mark it as an annual event. Mr. Supamit Kitjapipat also personally contributed paintings from his own private collection to be auctioned off at this grand event.
“From Lanna to Bodh Gaya”, a charity art auction, will be held on Sunday 2nd September 2012. The silent auction starts from 10.00 hrs while auction for master pieces starts from 15.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs at Huen Silp Slah, Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa, Chiang Mai.
