The final match of the 2025 Women's Baseball Asian Championship Qualifying Round took place at the Queen Sirikit 60th Anniversary Stadium in Rangsit, where Indonesia narrowly defeated India 5-4 to claim the championship title. India earned the silver medal, Pakistan secured bronze, and host nation Thailand finished fourth.
All four teams - Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and Thailand - have qualified for the 2025 IV BFA Women's Baseball Asian Cup, which will be held in the People's Republic of China. They will join six pre-seeded teams: Japan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, South Korea, the Philippines, and host China.
Pol.Col. Doungchote Suwanjalask, President of Baseball Association of Thailand, congratulated the Indonesian team and reflected on the Thai team's performance:
"First of all, I would like to congratulate Team Indonesia on winning the championship trophy. As for our Thai women's baseball team, we finished in fourth place. Overall, there are still many areas where we need improvement including a more rigorous training schedule, enhanced physical conditioning, application of sports science, and strategic development. This applies to our coaches, staff, and everyone involved, as well as strengthening our squad through new player recruitment.
Looking ahead to the SEA Games at the end of this year, our goal is to at least secure a bronze medal. I sincerely hope Thai fans will continue to follow and cheer for our women's national team."
