
On Friday, May 2nd, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, and Associate Professor Tipchan Wongchanta, Director of the Demonstration School at the University of Phayao, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Takanawadai High School, which is affiliated with Tokai University in Japan. The signing ceremony took place at Tokai University Takanawadai High School, with Mr. Tomomichi Katagiri, Director of the school, and Mr. Kenichi Matsuyama, Deputy Director, representing the Japanese institution.
This MOU aims to promote educational and cultural collaboration between the two institutions by facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience among students, teachers, and academic staff. Areas of cooperation include student and teacher exchange programs, joint training and professional development for educators, and the co-development of specialized academic subjects where both parties share expertise.
Attending the signing ceremony from the Demonstration School, University of Phayao, were Acting Sub. Lieutenant Manas Poothawee, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Khongamon Hemmaratrak, Chairmsn of the High School Curriculum Committee. This partnership marks an important milestone in advancing the school's internationalization policy and provides opportunities for students and educators to enhance their competencies in a global context. Ultimately, the collaboration is expected to elevate the quality of education and establish a sustainable international academic network.
