Bangchak Reaffirms Leadership Role as Thailand's Neat SAF Pioneer at

Mr. Bundit Hansapaiboon, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Vice President of the Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, was invited to present insights from the producer's perspective on the topic "Insights on SAF Production, Capabilities and Innovation" at the "Flying Green: Thailand's Sustainable Aviation Fuel Forum." The event was jointly organized by the Board of Airline Representatives Business Association (BAR) and Thai Airways International Public Company Limited. Mr. Korakot Chatasingha, BAR President, and Mr. Chai Eamsiri, CEO of Thai Airways International, delivered welcome remarks at the event held at the Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Building 2, Thai Airways Head Office recently.

Mr. Bundit highlighted the readiness of Bangchak Group's Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Production Unit, located at Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery. It is the first stand-alone unit in Thailand dedicated to producing 100% Neat SAF from used cooking oil (UCO), operated by BSGF Co., Ltd., a Bangchak affiliate. The facility has an initial production capacity of 1 million liters per day, which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80,000 tons of CO2 equivalent per year, with operations across the supply chain certified under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) standard. Bangchak is also a pioneer in SAF pipeline transportation, delivering SAF from the refinery to Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, and supported by marine and road-based logistics to ensure real-world operational readiness. These efforts contribute toward the global aviation industry's target of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

To secure feedstock for Neat SAF production, Bangchak is actively driving its "Fry to Fly" initiative, purchasing used cooking oil from households and restaurants nationwide. The initiative also engages government and private sector partners, with plans to expand collection points at Bangchak service stations across the country.

The "Flying Green" forum provided a platform for knowledge sharing, technical exchange, and dialogue on policy and operational readiness among stakeholders from across the value chain, including government agencies, SAF producers, and Thai and international airlines.
