Noah Dolinsky's "FALLEN ANGELS" Photobook
Celebrating the Dignity and Resilience of Thai Trans Women.
A decade-long photographic odyssey by Bangkok-based photographer, Noah Dolinsky, has resulted in a luxurious new photo book which offers a poignant tribute to the beauty, strength and grace of Thai trans women. 'Fallen Angels,' is a visual dialogue of more than hundred compelling images that focus beyond the lurid stereotypes to reveal intimate portraits and candid moments that capture the dignified resilience of a community often marginalized and misunderstood.

Inspired by years of immersion in Thai culture, Dolinsky's work goes beyond spectacle, offering a space for his subjects to be seen as they truly are.
"I was drawn by their beauty, strength and presence," he explains. "I never intended to produce a book. This project just grew to become a long-form portrait of Thai trans women as I've come to know them: dignified, resilient and full of grace."
Winning the trust of the trans community was a gradual process. "Trust can't be rushed. I came alone, with curiosity and respect," Dolinsky recalls. "Many live between visibility and vulnerability and yet they carry themselves with such poise, humor and resilience." His approach, unhurried and without an agenda, allowed for authentic connections with some photoshoots taken over months or even years.
The photo book, a luxurious, high-end volume of work, challenges the stereotypes, showcasing the quiet strength and poise of its subjects.
"I'm not trying to define anyone," Dolinsky says. "I'm offering space for them to be seen as they are." 'Fallen Angels' also reflects his deep admiration for Thai culture, where Buddhism and history have fostered a unique, if imperfect, acceptance of gender fluidity that is years ahead of the West.
Dolinsky hopes his photobook will spark conversations about beauty, gender and empathy. "These lives matter," he says. "I want them to be seen with dignity."
The book is now crowdfunding on Weeboon, a Thai-based platform, and seeksto raise the funds needed not only to print and distribute the book, but also to give back to the models who made this project possible, as well as to LGBTQ+ organizations in Thailand.
