
This season, The Peninsula Bangkok invites guests to enjoy the refreshing spirit of nature with its new Art in the Garden Afternoon Teaan exquisite culinary expression inspired by blooming gardens, fruits and botanical elements. Served daily at The Lobby, this elegant offering celebrates the beauty of nature through a collection of delicately crafted savoury and sweet treats, each one drawing on nature's palette of seasonal blooms, sun-ripened fruits, aromatic herbs, and cooling textures, all reimagined through the lens of refined culinary artistry.

Curated by Executive Chef Hans Zahner and Executive Pastry Chef Jimmy Boulay, the Art in the Garden menu highlights a shared passion for seasonal ingredients and sophisticated flavours. Set in The Lobby, with its iconic soaring glass bay windows and sweeping views of the Chao Phraya River, this exquisite tea ritual offers a moment of peaceful indulgence, surrounded by the calm and beauty of nature.
SAVOURY SELECTIONS
Each item is crafted to reflect the charm of a blossoming garden, with subtle floral accents, fresh ingredients, and layered flavours:
- Asparagus Royal: A light and elegant starter pairing tender asparagus with Maltaise hollandaise and ikura no shoyu-zuke, lending a citrusy brightness and umami depth.
- Jiaozi Fried: A golden fried wonton tartlet filled with French bonito and cooling cucumber, offering a refreshing contrast of temperature and taste.
- Prelude Elderflower: Juicy ebi prawns infused with the soft floral sweetness of elderflower and lifted by a fragrant gel epicea.
- Charred Corn Cream Tartlet: A savoury tartlet layered with smoky polenta, Parmigiano Reggiano, and sweet summer corn, evoking the comforting warmth of alfresco garden gatherings.
SWEET DELIGHTS
Each creation captures the freshness of seasonal fruits, delicate florals, and botanical aromaslight, cooling, and infused with vibrant flavours:
- Earl Grey Tea Cup: A tea-infused mousse with bergamot and lemon compote, combining citrus zest and smooth chocolate and Earl Grey mousse for a sophisticated, chilled indulgence.
- Flower Tart: A multi-layered creation of almond and coffee cream, banana caramel, and airy chantilly, accented with floral notes and summer elegance.
- Peach: A celebration of stone fruit seasonpeach compote with basil and a light sour cream mousse, creating a perfectly balanced and cooling dessert.
- Hazelnut Cracotte: Featuring gianduja, delicate puff pastry, and creamy milk chocolate, this treat offers a smooth, nutty finish with textural contrast.
- Yuzu Granita: A showstopping palate cleanser of liquid nitrogen-frozen yuzu granita, layered with mango espuma, orange blossom, and strawberry gela theatrical presentation and revitalising finale to the experience.
Completing this delightful experience are The Peninsula's signature scones, featuring classic plain and fragrant Hojicha tea scones, served with mascarpone cream, orange marmalade, and a floral apple jellylight, aromatic, and seasonally inspired.
Available from June to August 2025, this garden-inspired Afternoon Tea is served daily from 14:00 to 18:00 hrs at The Lobby, accompanied by live piano performances and breathtaking riverside views. The Art in the Garden Afternoon Tea is priced at THB 1,388++ per person and THB 2,388++ for two persons, including a selection of fine tea or coffee. All prices are in Thai Baht and subject to a 10% service charge and applicable government tax.
