The Pharmacy Council of Thailand in collaboration with pharmaceutical professional organizations, is organizing Pharmacy Week 2025 under the theme "Pharmacist Anywhere" to share knowledge on proper health care and nutrition to the public while promoting the roles of pharmacists as accessible health advisors and connectors of knowledge in medicine, nutrition, and health promotion to the community. This year's event features Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) as a partner hosting symposium to foster knowledge about body and brain health among attending pharmacists and visitors. Pharmacy Week 2025 takes place on June 21 - 27, 2025.
According to Preecha Bhandtivej, Pharm.D., President of The Pharmacy Council of Thailand, "Pharmacy Week is held annually by the Pharmacy Council of Thailand in collaboration with pharmaceutical professionals' organizations and fellow pharmacists from all sectors of the industry. These organizations include the Pharmaceutical Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the Association of Hospital Pharmacists (Thailand), Community Pharmacy Association (Thailand), the Marketing Pharmacy Association of Thailand, Thai Industrial Pharmacist Association, Regulatory Affairs Pharmacy Association (Thailand), Public Health Pharmacy Association (Thailand), the Pharmacy Education Consortium of Thailand, and the Government Pharmaceutical Organization. Besides its fundamental objectives, the event also promotes collaboration between pharmacists and organizations. The Pharmacy Week 2025 themed 'Pharmacist Anywhere' is being held on June 21 - 27 to raise public awareness about the role of pharmacists in providing advice for safe and effective use of medications and health in general. It will build good impression of the pharmaceutical profession, coinciding with the Pharmacy Council's emphasis on pharmacists as accessible health advisors alongside continuous efforts to broaden the knowledge and promote collaboration among pharmaceutical and health-focused organizations,"

At this year's Pharmacy Week, we contribute by holding a symposium on 'Therapeutic Potential and Market Opportunities of Carnosine for Pharmacist', featuring Peeranon Rawangnam, B.Sc in Pharm. owner of 'Ranyanokkala' Facebook page, as the speaker to share his knowledge and present fresh perspectives on carnosine. Moreover, Jirapong Manching, B.Sc in Pharm. owner of Sridan Pharmacy, another key speaker will discuss the topic of 'Proper Nutrition for Brain Health in the Digital Era' sharing advice on maintaining good brain health through nutrition, which helps the body optimize utilization of energy and nutrients to ensure efficient functioning of the nervous and other body systems. Besides, we will set up a product booth to give away BRAND'S Essence of Chicken to event attendees. This collaboration with the Pharmacy Council of Thailand is part of the company's mission to support health care professionals, including pharmacists and their role as health advisors for people, as well as to enhance knowledge of pharmacists and the public,"
As a guest speaker at the symposium, Jirapong Manching, B.Sc in Pharm. owner of Sridan Pharmacy, shared his perspectives about health: "People's ways of life are evolving rapidly these days, affecting how people manage their daily activities, especially working adults. People today spend significant time looking at screens and expressing themselves on social media platforms. At the same time, some have the responsibility to support their family, or raise their children, or frequently work overtime to achieve targets. All these factors leave less time for self-care, resulting in a compromise on diet quality and insufficient or low-quality sleep, for example, which can negatively affect our health in the long-term, especially the functioning of the brain and body systems. Body degeneration is natural as we age, but the pace of degeneration can vary greatly depending on self-care. In particular, healthy diet is one of the most important factors that helps our body utilize energy and nutrients for normal functioning and maintenance of the brain and other body systems. A healthy brain helps improve learning, thinking, and ability to perform everyday tasks effectively."
The Pharmacy Week 2025 is a nationwide event. In Bangkok, activities will take place at Central World, with exhibition booths including the Quit Smoking and Vaping campaign, health checkup and influenza vaccination, health advice by pharmacists of Telehealth Thailand, and health checkup and medications contributed by private companies. Winners of competitions organized by the event will also be announced, including 'Pharmacist Anywhere' mascot name contest, 'World No Tabacco Day' pharmaceutical student speech competition, and 'Proud to be a Pharmacist | My Pharmacist' video contest. The program of activities highlights a variety of symposiums with pharmacists, scholars, nutritionists, and famous artists as guest speakers to share their experiences and knowledge about health with pharmacists and the public.
