
BASF has appointed Prakash Devassy as Managing Director of BASF (Thai) Ltd., effective July 1, 2025. He succeeds Roschan Lohakitsongkam, who has decided to pursue new career opportunities after a distinguished tenure with BASF.
Prakash currently serves as Director of Business Management, Oleo Surfactants, Asia Pacific, bringing with him extensive experience in BASF's Care Chemicals business. Born in India, he began his career with BASF India in 2013, working in Supply Chain and Value Chain functions before advancing to key roles in Sales Management for Oleo Surfactants. Since 2019, he has been based in Thailand, where he has led Value Chain, Asset Management, and Business Management across the Asia Pacific region.
Prakash is recognized for his empowering leadership, strong business acumen, and unwavering commitment to achieving results. Throughout his career, he has consistently driven performance through accountability, determination, and a clear focus on outcomes. His new role underscores BASF's dedication to fostering regional talent and enhancing leadership capabilities in strategic markets.
