J&T Express Thailand, a global logistics provider, is advancing the Thai agricultural sector toward the international market with the launch of its "J&T Fruit Parcel" solution at the "Longan Gathering" event held at Maejo University, Chiang Mai. Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and the Department of Agricultural Extension, the event supports the shipment of fresh fruits, particularly "longan," a key produce of the northern region, while elevating logistics standards to compete in premium markets domestically and abroad.
The J&T Fruit Parcel service is specially developed to meet the demands of the fruit season, emphasizing fast, secure transportation while maintaining freshness throughout the delivery process. Equipped with real-time tracking and specialized packaging for fresh produce, this service enhances farmers' capabilities to expand their market reach through rapidly growing digital and e-commerce
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Attakorn Sirilattayakorn, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, who presided over the opening ceremony, along with Mr. Akkhara Phromphao, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and Mr. Chatchawan Panya, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Province. They visited the J&T Express booth and discussed ways to apply modern logistics technology to sustainably support the grassroots economy.
This year's "Longan Gathering" event brought together over 6,000 farmers from eight northern provinces and featured academic seminars on "Sustainable Longan Production Technologies" and "Empowering Thai Longan: New Frontiers in Quality Markets," as well as a live-stream sales event of premium-grade 'E-Daw' longan organized by the Agricultural Marketing Organization. The event aimed to broaden market channels for local longan farmers.
This participation underscores J&T Express Thailand's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector across all regions of the country through comprehensive and reliable logistics services. The company is dedicated to driving a robust agricultural ecosystem under the ESG framework, emphasizing true sustainability across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
