Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), consistently recognized at the national level, has been awarded the '2025 Outstanding Trade Association' from the Ministry of Commerce for the third consecutive year. This honor underscores TCMA's clear vision and achievements in leading the cement industry towards Net Zero 2050, strengthening collaboration within the country and global partners, supporting Thailand's NDC 3.0, and enhancing the country's long-term competitiveness while integrating economic, environmental, and social opportunities.
Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), stated that limiting global warming to 1.5?C is a global priority. It not only fulfills the responsibilities of global citizenship to reduce significantly severe environmental impacts, but also yields substantial economic and social benefits. Organizations that adopt low-carbon pathways can strengthen stakeholder trust, meet the needs of sustainability-focused partners, be a competitive advantage,
and ultimately, a more robust path to long-term growth in the global market.
TCMA, a collaboration of Thailand's leading cement manufacturers, has been driving carbon reduction efforts since the launch of its 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap in 2022, leading the cement industry toward the ambitious goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Its initiatives are translating commitments into action with concrete results by R&D low-carbon cement so-called hydraulic cement and now adopt in every construction project nationwide, transition to clean and low-carbon energy, deployment of innovative technologies for carbon value creation, alongside the implementing an area-based approach 'SARABURI SANDBOX LOW CARBON CITY' where the collaborative effort involves public-private-people along with international partners linking technology and green funding to drive industry's pathway to Net Zero 2050.
