Bitkub Online Co. Ltd., the operator of Bitkub Exchange, Thailand's premier digital assets platform, and Bitkub Labs Co. Ltd., the provider of Bitkub Academy, an educational hub for blockchain technology and digital assets, announced a strategic partnership with Plasma, the advanced Layer-1 blockchain protocol designed for efficient scaling of blockchain.
This collaboration aims to boost awareness among Thais about the future of instantaneous and fee-free stablecoin payments. Plasma is known to achieve 1000+ transactions per second with less than 1 second block-closing time, using the unique mechanism of handling transactions in batches. Under this cooperation, Plasma's entry is aimed at delivering the efficiency and flexibility required for stablecoins' education and adoption in Thailand.
Plasma enters the Thai blockchain space by collaborating with Bitkub Exchange and Bitkub Academy, the leading providers of Thai digital asset investment and education, which support the Plasma chain by expanding access to Plasma's efficient Layer-1 stablecoin infrastructure and growing Plasma's engagement in Thailand's growing DeFi space.
Atthakrit Chimplapibul, Co-founder and CEO of Bitkub Online Co. Ltd., stated, "Bitkub Exchange strives to drive blockchain adoption by providing secure access to world-class assets and infrastructure. Our collaboration with Plasma represents a major step forward in empowering both investors and developers. With Plasma, we are bringing an advanced Layer-1 solution that addresses speed, cost, and scalability three of the biggest challenges in the blockchain space today."
Suchart Pavasiriporn, CEO of Bitkub Labs Co., Ltd., said, "Plasma is a key project that focuses on making stablecoin transactions scalable and secure, making blockchain practical for everyday use. This collaboration will open doors for Thais to better understand the broader decentralized payment systems. This is about enabling the next generation of applications and positioning Thailand as a leader in digital innovation."
Paul Faecks, CEO and Co-founder of Plasma, added, "Plasma exists to make core financial services globally accessible via stablecoins. Reach comes from distribution, and distribution comes from the right partners. In Thailand, that partner is Bitkub. We are excited to work with Bitkub to scale Plasma's stablecoin rails throughout Thailand."
This initiative builds upon the strong momentum of Bitkub's collaboration with Tether, as Plasma supports 0 fees for USDT transactions. With this new phase, Bitkub and Plasma are not only fostering greater understanding of blockchain technology but also delivering a practical, scalable solution that supports Thailand's growth in the global digital economy.
