Launching Extricom, the 4th Generation of Future Wireless Network

Teerayut Hongkananukraw, Thailand Country Manager of Allied Telesis (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said “Presently, businesses and entertainment media play important part on jointly collaboration with wireless network, so seamless connectivity and capability of equipment to support the applications and easy maintenance must be taken into consideration for system implementation. However, the current wireless network has been designed with wireless technology restriction framework, so it has encountered communication quality problems, particularly when there are a lot of users.
Thus, Allied Telesis has presented a new wireless network technology - the 4th generation of wireless network called Extricom Wireless Solutions which is based on channel blanket infrastructure or it means that it can work by using the same channel throughout the system, so mobile devices can be connected seamlessly and it can make such mobile devices receive the best and smooth signal all the way, in case it has to move from one place to another.
Main target groups of Extricom are 5 industries who are affected by the current wireless network, including 1. hospitality or healthcare 2. education 3. conference center 4. logistics and 5. manufacturing. Extricom shall be marketed by using the expert distribution channel and team of the Company.

Teerayut stated that for the past year, sales proportion of Allied Telesis from large enterprises was accounted for approximately 80% and retail group of 20% and its growth rate was more than 40 percent. Its market share in switch market ranked no. 3 in Thailand and its sale is targeted to grow at least 30%. It is expected that the growth rate of wiredline network market in Thailand should be at approximately 10% with value of approximately US$ 110 million or Baht 3,300 million while value of enterprise wireless network market is approximately US$ 16 million or Baht 480 million.
